The Natural Park of the Ebro delta
The Ebro Delta is the largest wetland area of Catalonia. Is the largest inhabited water of the western Mediterranean, after the bitter (French Regional Park), and the second of Spain, after the Doñana National Park.
At the request of Deltebre, the Generalitat of Catalonia created by a decree of 1983, the Natural Park of the Ebro Delta, where it should be noted that the Ebro delta is the first wetland in Catalonia with the emphasis on an international scale, recognized by the most specialized agencies. Already in 1962 was included in the classification of wetlands of international concern Euro developed by the Bureau MAR with the category A (priority).
The Natural Park of the Ebro Delta has a total area of 7736 hectares. Up gaps in 011as, the Canal Vell, the Garxal, the Alfacar, the Platjola, the Bull Run and Encanyissada, the islands of Buda, Sant Antoni i Sapinya, the peninsulas of the Punta de la Baña (the Alfaques) and Fangar , Ullals of the Baltasar and the mountains of Casablanca.
In the landscape of the delta lands are totally flat which give it a distinctive appearance and unique in Catalonia. On the inside we found the extensive rice fields, changing with the seasons (winter earthy, flooded with water to the spring, green in summer). On the coast are one of the most attractive lake scenery of the Mediterranean, bordered by large ponds canyissars and jonqueres. At the periphery, soles cirialeres with saline, marine and rushes faces the long and deserted sandy beaches with dunes and vegetation samples, well adapted in the middle.

Casa de Fusta
Construction flagship in the Delta, currently is a facility of the Natural Park which hosts an information center and a museum ornithological showing a complete collection of spices much more representative of wildlife delta.

The Eco-museu
Its main function is to introduce newcomers to the peculiar world of the Delta, especially in the functioning of natural and human aspects of its ecosystem. In this way, the different elements that make up what are representations of landscapes, from traditional activities and architecture of the Delta.
The Ecomuseum helps to understand and interpret a complex reality in which the profound humanization and the weight of economic activity contrasts with the existence of some spaces that are protected for their important natural values.

Museum of Terres de l’Ebre
The Museum of Terres de l’Ebre is located in the City Park of Amposta in the building of the old schools Miquel Granell, the work of modernist architect Ramon Salas.
In a didactic manner the Museum explains three aspects of the district’s Montsia, unique in all of Catalonia, which are essential to know the nature, rice and archeology.

The Olles
It is the smallest gap in the Delta with 54 ha. His whole area of protection but tea has 415. The most common access is via road from the ampoule to the sandy beach.
If we are interested in seabirds and waders can cross the canal and follow another km. until reaching Goleró to, the old mouth of the Ebro River in the state of a drainage channel.
At the same Arenal beach in the raft of pots, you can enjoy thedelta’s cuisine in the restaurant Io Goleró.

The Fangar
The Fangar is a peninsula of sand of 410 ha. NO geared to SE.
It is crossed by a trail of compacted sand about 3’5 or 4 km by where you can move or walk to the veranda, the lighthouse or the northern tip of the peninsula.

The Canal Vell
The Canal Vell is the biggest loophole of hemidelta north or left with an area of 235 ha.
The current access is limited to a observatory to be private as it comes from a diversion of the road Deltebre to Riumar.

Mouth of the river Ebro
The area of the mouth of the Ebro buy the protected nature of Garxal (280 ha), the Isle of Sant Antoni (170 ha) and the Isle of Buddha (1231 ha).
The Isle of Buda and the Isle of Sant Antoni have restricted the passage alone and therefore can be entered with permission. The one area visitable, is the left edge of the river to reach the Garxal.

River of Mitjorn
The river is a former Migjorn mouth of the Ebro Riverthat runs along the island during the Buda 3.5 km running on the beach of the same name.
The area is accessible by car from Sant Jaume D’Enveja.

The Tancada
It has an area of 312 ha, limited by the E with the sea and the S with the Bay of Alfaques.
Be visited from the path of Baladres, which is a paved road about 3 km along the lagoon to the east.

The Banya
It has an area of 2,500 ha. with the bar Trabucador. The Punta of Banya is Parcial Natural Reserve. Their access is restricted except between July 15 and Sept. 15, without leaving the beach you can enter without a vehicle.

The encanyissada
With an area of 1,192 ha. The gap is largest in the Delta. There is the possibility of giving back in across the pond, with stretches of paved road and no other asphalt. The route will vary between 12 and 18 km. depending if it is to make the turn in the pan or large whole lacuna.

The Ullals
They have a total area of 10 ha. There are around 40, 15 of which are within the delimitaciói of Parc and the rest are privately owned. It is the only freshwater environment around the Delta. We found several areas of rare amphibians in the Delta and one of the few places where water lilies are so spontaneous in Catalonia .
